There are many activities on offer in Kimberley Canada in the winter months. The ski hill is open from mid December until early April for skiing and snowboarding. Other winter activities include, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and dog sledding. The visitor information centre can give you information on trails and tour bookings. This is located near the Platzl in downtown Kimberley.
Kimberley Ski Resort
Kimberley Canada ski resort is made up of 80 runs that are serviced by 5 lifts and covers 1800 acres. There is one main flood lit blue run that leads from the top of the hill back down to the base area. This provides excellent night skiing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 5.30pm until 9pm.
Kimberley Canada is a great resort for families and beginners as it has plenty of easy runs and a large learning area. It is however also good for more advanced skiers and snowboarder. With plenty of well maintained glades and expert terrain available there really is something for every preference and abitity level.
There is plenty of ski in ski out accommodation available in Kimberley Canada and a regular bus to and from the resort and downtown. Winter is a spectacular time of year to come to the mountains and enjoy the outdoors.
