The nightlife at the ski resort is fairly tame there are various deli's and coffee shops for skiers and hikers to stop for lunch but the majority of the close in the early evening. The Stemwinder Bar & Grill located at the base of the ski hill often has live music playing and is a popular apres ski location. The only other options of nightlife at Kimberley alpine resort are hotel bars and Kelseys restaurant. The majority of the bars and restaurants are located in downtown kimberley just a short bus or taxi ride away.
Night skiing is available on Kimberley Alpine Resort on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights during the peak ski season. The main run down from the top of the North Star Express lift is well flood lit opening up some excellent night skiing and snowboarding opportunities. There is much more to choose from in downtown Kimberley with various bars and restaurants located in and around the Platzl. A wide variety of food is on offer in Kimberley ranging from traditional pub grub, pizza and subway to Canadian fine dining and Bavarian feasts.
In terms of the party scene many of the visitors to Kimberley Canada spend their nights in The Edge pub and hostel. The Edge has regular live music and DJs as well as pool tables, quiz nights and big screen TVs. Another popular pass time during the hockey season is watching the local junior hockey team play at the ice rink. The Kimberley Dynamiters compete yearly in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. They play regular home games throughout the autumn, winter and spring months at The Kimberley Civic Centre.
